"2009年度の幼稚舎の試験では、お祭りのBGMが流れる中に縁日のような屋台がいくつも出て、そこで自由に行動できるという試験が出ました。子供たちはヨーヨーすくいなどの縁日でひたすら自由に遊べばいいのですが、そこで試験官に見られているのは「どれだけ夢中で楽しく遊べているか」。試験の内容は絵を描く、運動、遊びなど毎年様々ですが、どれだけ勉強ができるかはほとんど問題にされません(ペーパーテストはなし)。勉強よりも、いかに夢中になって物事に取り組めるか、磨けば光るという可能性を感じさせてくれるかが大事なのです。"
